Zedd Aspires High with Video Premiere of “Beautiful Now”

Following an ambitious performance with Lady Antebellum at the CMT awards Wednesday night, the renowned electro-house artist Zedd continues to aspire to new heights with the video premier of “Beautiful Now” ft. Jon Bellion, this Thursday afternoon. The energetic and impassioned track is the second official single off of Zedd’s sophomore album True Colors and features house roots, rock influences, and story-telling lyrics.

The video features a series of vignettes portraying people from different walks of life; the storyline includes a tragic end to a loving romance, a robbery in an impoverished village, and an old man’s trek up a mountain. Zedd himself plays a knife-wielding petty thief. Additionally, the montages are overlapped with flashbacks of pleasure and bliss. While each story is seemingly unconnected, the juxtaposition of great joy with both great struggle and heartbreak ultimately suggests a shared human experience. Moreover, the anthem reflects an enthusiastic embrace towards life and all its ups and downs.

Zedd’s video release of “Beautiful Now” coincides with his on-going tour in which he will be appearing at the Spring Awakening Festival, Firefly Music Festival, and Digital Dreams Festival among many other tour stops. Zedd’s official tour dates can be found on his website.
