Nightmare Festival Artist Spotlight: Bear Grillz

Make sure you keep all of your food locked up safely in your cabins and tents, because Bear Grillz is coming to Nightmare Festival this Halloween!

“I’m being told that Halloween is a time for people to dress up like other characters,” Bear Grillz said. “I need to state for the record that I cannot guarantee I will not eat anyone in the crowd that is dressed up like another animal. It’s already hard enough for me not to eat humans at my shows.”

Bear Grillz is widely known for his mastery of dubstep. He considers himself a “visionary” and said that “Some people have even compared me to Mozart, but it’s hard to know how much to trust anything the local geese and squirrels say, they’re usually just after tips to spend on cocaine and strippers.”

While most other producers create music as humans, Bear Grillz stands out because… well, he’s a bear. His passion for his craft, however, is what we love about him most.

“Dubstep as a scene is at a real high point of innovation right now,” Bear said. “You’ve got some people making tracks in F, some people making them in F#, some people even making them in F as triplets. The possibilities are seemingly endless, which I think is part of the reason the genre has such a large following and an informed, loyal fan base.”

Most recently, Bear has just wrapped up a remix of Alison Wonderland’s “Run” and he said, “I put a lot of time into this track and I hope it shows!” In addition to that, Bear is currently working on the next Bear Grillz and Friends mix, which he said is a big project.

“I can’t wait to be able to tell everyone all the crazy big names we have on board for the next one,” Bear said. “It’s going to be huge!”
