DJ BIOS:

Tavo:

Tavo is a trance and progressive DJ who grew up in L.A., listening to Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, Prodigy and others. He became inspired to DJ after attending Coachella Festival and began DJing for local events/venues in San Salvador and all over L.A.

In the early 2000’s, Tavo moved to Washington, D.C. and started his own trance and progressive podcast, “Tavo’s Trance Radio” in 2009. The podcast has support from fans and DJs globally, and features DJs such as Sunn Jellie, First State, Mike Shiver, Menno De Jong, and Mark Sherry.

Tavo has helped grow the D.C. trance and progressive community as a resident DJ at MUTE in 2013, Phonic in 2014 and is now a part-owner and Resident DJ at Element Events – uniting music fans through simple elements of fun: good music and good vibes.

Christauff:

Trippy, infectious deep tech house, with the emphasis on bumping, spine-chilling sets. Head of DeepTech.fm, a weekly journey through deep tech house, UK house, and garage. DC native, member of District Ignition & ScandalDC.

Lael Bellotti:

If you haven’t heard the name Lael Bellotti or his music, you’re probably about to. For close to six years, he’s been honing his skills in the studio and on the decks to bring club goers from all walks of life new, edgy dance music. Originally from Warrenton, Virginia, he moved closer to the District to immerse himself in the dance music scene. There, he’s known to keep huge crowds grinding and smiling on the dance floor for as long as the bouncers will let them. Lael has played along side acts like Grammy-nominated BT, Christopher Lawrence, Organ Donors and his productions have been supported by Paul Oakenfold, Antillas, TyDi, Wippenburg, Sean Tyas and more. His hard-hitting, energetic, and eclectic style will not only get you bouncing, but keep you asking for more.

LJ MTX:

The global entity known as LJ MTX has been a staple in the DMV underground Electronic Dance Music scene for nearly a decade as a Producer, DJ, Event Promoter and Label Owner. His catalog of over 100 of his own original productions and remixes showcasing his signature blend of Electro House, Melbourne Bounce and Progressive have been recently supported by the likes of Laidback Luke, Rob Swire of Pendulum & Knife Party, Krewella, The Crystal Method, DJ Chuckie, DJ Bl3nd, Morgan Page, Dyro and Lazy Rich.

Since 2007, LJ MTX has established past and present residencies with the top three event promotion companies in the region: Club Glow, Steez Promo and BADASS Raves. His show-stopping performances have earned him mid-to-headlining spots at the most popular events & venues in DC and Baltimore: U-Street Music Hall, 9:30 Club, Flash, DC Star (Echostage), Ultrabar, Banger Warehouse, Fur, Ibiza, Otakon, Big Dub Festival, Starscape, Nightmare Festival and Dreamscape. His
accolades coupled with his captivating performances have raised the bar for DMV EDM artists and have made him one of the highest demanded artists in the DMV region.

Additionally, LJ continues to volunteer his time each week as one of the key members of Northern Virginia’s longest running weekly EDM event known as Transit, which is now in it’s 11th consecutive year. He has been the owner and operator of successful global music imprints: Metronix Recordings (USA) (2007-2013), Phethouse Records (AUS) (2012-present) and Almost Famous Music (USA) (Launched January 2015). The relentless effort, old-school work ethic and undying passion for the DMV EDM scene has placed LJ MTX in the top 3 of the Washington City Paper Best DJ poll twice since 2010.

Dj 0bscure:

Over the past years Obscure (Marcus) has been rising through the ranks along the east coast, playing a combination of House, Breaks, Electro, Trance, and Techno. Within just a few years of moving from state to state Obscure was sharing stages with everyone from Zedd to Dj Icey and as far as Drumsound and Bassline Smith to Big Gigantic. There was little time before several of the largest promotional companies began to support him on his way, gaining recognition from such companies as Badass Raves & Steez Promotions. In the past year Obscure teamed up with Malphunktion to start the promotional company known as Re:magine, and a new tag that goes under the name Crimson Raiders.

Turning 24 this year, Obscure has his hands full with upcoming shows where he is directly supporting Max Graham and Krafty Kuts in just a few short weeks.
