Ganja White Night Proves They’re Wobble Masters in ‘The Origins’

The wobble masters known as Ganja White Night (Benjamin Bayeul and Charlie Dodson) delivered their 7th album The Origins this Monday (Feb 5th). The 12th length album boasts featured names such as Caspa, Dirt Monkey, Boogie T, and Zeds Dead. “We’ve both grown so much these past couple years and we certainly wouldn’t be the people or artists we are today without your support in the good times and most of all, in the more complicated ones. We really owe everything to your hearts, it’s your love that inspires us everyday to keep pushing the line. Each time we hit the studio we feel a huge pressure to keep evolving and bringing you music that is true to us, your acceptance of our music is one of our greatest rewards.”, stated the duo on social media Monday.

As dubstep evolves and mutates in the contemporary electronic music scene, the roots of the genre are often taken for granted. As the title implies, The Origins encapsulates GWN’s devotion to crafting dubstep that maintains it’s original rhythmic structure, a wobble bass, and cultural roots in Jamaican dub and reggae while integrating a variety of new elements of sound into their work.
